Today my insider tip for Anastasijas and Nikolays couple shooting: Roosevelt Island.
To get to the Island you have to take the Roosevelt Island Tramway. A very special way that connects Upper East Side with this Island, still belonging to Manhattan in the East River. Therefore I still say it is an Insider Tip – even when this is getting more and more public in city guides.
The island is divided in two parts. One part of the Island is a very popular residential area, the north part was converted into an amazing green space.
Actually in two public parks (Four Freedom Park and Southpoint Park). And here you can get perfect pictures in front of the amazing skyline – even you can get married here.
At Four Freedom Park you get a very nice contrast between a classical tree mall as well as modern granite blocks. Different to the Hudson River at this point the East River is much smaller between Queens and Manhattan, then New Jersey and Manhattan, which suggest to be much closer tot he city.
The Island has a very nice view to Queensboro Bridge with a great alley covered with beautiful old cherry blossom trees.
So this island is such a beauty and a very quite place in the middle of noisy Manhattan, perfectly for couples who want the New York Sykline in a romantic and modern way.
And just one more hint: the Park is closed on Tuesday.
